Spooner Cabin

pagoda buildingSpooner Cabin is a fantastic place for you to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax in the peaceful and quiet woods of Haines, Alaska. Leave behind the ringing of telephones and the hum of copiers and cozy up in this quaint cabin. It features an upstairs loft with five single beds and a window overlooking the forest, a downstairs common room with dining room table, sofa and small kitchen. The Spooner Cabin is the ideal lodging place for small groups or a family looking to explore Haines and experience the "real" Alaska. Local attractions include guided rafting tours, an animal preserve, extensive hiking trails (novice to advanced), abundant fishing (and chartered fishing as well), glacier viewing and wildlife viewing. The largest bald eagle preserve in the world is a short drive up the highway from this cabin and you can see grizzly bears catching salmon a nice 10 mile drive up the river (far enough away). Many of the safer activities are within walking distance
