Group Adventure and Team Building Activities

Nestled between the majestic Chilkat and Coastal Mountain Ranges in the village of Haines in Southeastern Alaska on the Northern Lynn Canal (the largest fjord in North America), Alaska Learning Adventures is the perfect environment to bring your team to a deeper level of appreciation and insight on working together. Whether it's your first time on a mountain bike or you're an avid sea kayaker, the programs are designed so you and your group have a great team building experience in a fun, safe, and inspiring environment.

Each adventure includes knowledgeable and experienced guides, instruction for all skill levels, transportation, necessary equipment and opportunities for rest and refreshments. We welcome our corporate executives for a respite of reflection, relaxation, reconnection and recreation. We offer our business executives an escape from their daily routine in an environment that is unmatched in its proximity to the finest nature has to present. Alaska Learning Adventures scenic location serves as a spectacular setting for a variety of programs whether a day spent hiking to invigorating mountain vistas or peaceful low land coastal seascapes, fishing for salmon, kayaking, participating in interactive workshops or a day combining both work and play. Our programs are tailored to the needs of individual groups and can be small, intimate gatherings or we can accommodate slightly larger groups.

We set up the menu of activities to give you an idea of the type of events you can do while at Alaska Learning Adventures.For teams using our corporate retreat facilities, there is a minimum requirement of selecting three events for your corporate retreat. Some events last a couple days (these count as two events), others just last a half day (these count as one event). You can pick from our menu of activities or you can have us customize a unique event for your group.

In addition to the team building activities, the way you live in the Alaska Learning Adventure facility fosters team work and cooperation.  Your team is an integral part of day to day living.  You are invited into the commercial kitchen to help our chef with meal preparation.   You can use the outdoor cooking facilities to prepare fish you catch.   You commune with nature and get back to the fundamentals of living.   This is a once in a lifetime experience for most people.  You and your team will take back memories you will keep forever.  These memories also serve as anchors to a new way of working together.
